The Housing Authority of Salt Lake City manages various programs and properties including Housing Choice Vouchers, Project Based Vouchers, Mod Rehab Voucher, as well as programs for Veterans, homeless, disabled and elderly persons. In addition, we manage apartments for those with income below 80% AMI (Affordable) depending on household size. Currently the Housing Choice Voucher waiting list is closed, but other opportunities may be available depending on your current situation. You may apply at our office located at 1776 S. West Temple or on line at www.haslcutah.org . You may check back with us periodically to see if/when the Housing Choice Voucher waiting lists are open. Our Affordable and Tax Credit Housing along with several Homeless Housing programs provide affordable units with tenants paying approximately 30% of income for rent. These properties are included in the list at HASLC – Property List (December 2018).
Listed below are how to apply for the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City properties:
Elderly/ Disabled / Family – Phillips Plaza, Romney, City Plaza, Rendon, Jefferson Circle and Mod Rehab Vouchers– application at the Housing Authority 1776 S West Temple, SLC UT 84115 or on line at www.haslcutah.org
Homeless and Veteran -Cedar Crest, Sunrise Metro, Valor Apts., Valor House, Freedom Landing, Fairmont Fourplex, West Temple Duplexes – Most of these properties require referrals from the local Veterans Affairs Office or Homeless Providers such as Volunteers of America and the Road Home. Please contact these properties for the referral information.
Disabled and Chronically Homeless Shelter Plus Care vouchers require referrals from homeless service providers such as the Road Home, Valley Behavioral Health or Volunteers of America.
All other HA properties on the list – Affordable and Tax Credit Units – You may complete the application then scan and e-mail the completed form back to email@example.com If you do not have this capability, you can take the completed application to any of the properties on the attached property information sheet or the main office at the Housing Authority of Salt Lake City (1776 S West Temple). If you physically drop it off, make sure to tell the receptionist or property manager that it needs to be scanned and e-mailed to Vicki Jenkins for distribution. From there, Vicki can distribute to the property managers to either contact you if they have current availability or add you to their waitlist.
